The Johnsonville
Toy Library is located in the Johnsonville Community Centre,
adjacent to the Keith Spry Swimming Pool in Frankmoore
Avenue, Johnsonville.

The Toy Library is
open three times a week.
The Toy Library was established in
1981 and has been associated with the Community Centre since
that time.
The aim is to provide families in
the community with access to a wide range of entertaining
and educational toys, puzzles and games.
The Library is an
incorporated non profit organisation run by a Committee. It
is staffed by two Librarians who are assisted by rostered
parent help.
Membership fees are
used to cover the operating expenses of the library.
Community Grants and Fund raising are used to fund the
purchase and maintenance of toys, and puzzles.

There are two
categories of membership.
Active membership
which in addition to the annual fee requires taking a turn
on the roster once a term to help with running the Toy
Library.
Non-active
membership which does not require helping with rostered
duties but incurs a higher fee .

The Toy Library
caters for children of all ages and has games, puzzles,
dress up costumes, playsets, outdoor toys, "Little Tikes"
and larger ride on toys.
